RWA 2019 at a Glance

The Annual Romance Writers of America Conference makes up for a year of lonely workdays in a single week. I’ve been home from the conference for a few days now and I can officially look back and discuss some of the themes, trends, and moods that I witnessed this year and what excites me most about being part of the romance writers community.

You Better Believe It

To be a writer, you have to be a reader, but sometimes it’s a weird wire to walk--to be professional and totally chill and cool even though your eyes are popping out of your head. I’ve been on one side of this a lot. For years. And happily.

Highlights From RWA17

This past week I returned from Orlando and the 2017 Romance Writers of America annual conference. It was my second year attending the event, and the experience was overwhelmingly fantastic and inspirational. Here are just a few of my favorite highlights from this year’s RWA17!

Pagers, Antennas and Phone Jacks, Oh My!

Brockmann is an expert storyteller with remarkable skill at weaving several seemingly-incongruous narratives into a single story arc, and she creates unique and deeply human characters that it is a true pleasure to read about. I have only one problem with these books and it’s not Brockmann’s fault. They’re dated.
